4 Tips/Tricks for the iPhone and iPad

I decided to write a post about a few iPhone/iPad tips and tricks that you might not know if you just got an iPhone or iPad or if you aren’t very iSavvy.  I have  4 tips/tricks listed below that can make the iPhone and iPad experience even better.

(The pictures show an iPhone, but all tips/tricks can be used for the iPad too)

Take a Screenshot

This is a very useful feature that I use a lot and most people don’t even know it exists.  In order to take a screen shot, press the Lock Button and the Home Button at the same time.  The screen will flash white, and a screenshot will be saved to your photos folder.

Scroll to Top, Quickly

Another feature that I use a lot lets you scroll to the top of any page in an instant without having to manually swipe all the way back to the top. So if you venture to the bottom of a very long web page, all you have do is tap on the status bar at the top of the screen and you will be taken back to the top. (try it now if you’re reading this on an iPhone or iPad)

Share/Delete Mulitple Photos

Two questions I get asked a lot are, “How do I email a photo or multiple photos?” and “How do I delete multiple photos?” This is simple and very useful.

>First, click on your Photos icon
> Click on the arrow button in the top right of the screen
> Click the photos/videos you want to share or delete
> Then click “Share” in the bottom left if you want to Email or MMS the selected photos
> or click “Delete” in the bottom left if you want to delete the selected photos

If you are emailing photos, you can can select the size the photos should be emailed as.

*Note: You cannot select both photos and videos if you want to share them, videos have to be done 1 at a time. Also, you can only email up to 5 photos at a time.

Emoticons!

Who doesn’t like using emoticons in text messages? This is a feature that has a few more steps to it but once you have emoticons, you’ll have a lot more fun texting.

> First, download Emoji Free from the app store
> Open Emoji Free and follow the onscreen instructions.
> You can delete the Emoji Free app and emoticons will remain on your iPhone/iPad.
